Technical rules

 

 

FIBA rules will apply with the following exceptions:

 

1.      Each player must sign a waiver concerning the terms and conditions of entry, as well as the health and accident liability, before the first game. No player is allowed to participate in the championship without signing the waiver.

 

2.      The games will be played by the schedule drawn up for each age group by the Organising Committee.

 

3.      Each player must be registered to a team before the teams first game. No additional players may join a team during the games.

 

4.      Each team can have no more than twelve (12) players in each game.

 

5.      Teams must be national teams. That means: only national players in national teams. The only exceptions are:- Residents, people despite been no national citizens, are living in the country.- Blood nationality, those people that even having a new citizenship, (leaving in other country), they still have the born nationality. In both cases they can play.

 

6.      Each player must use the same number throughout the games.

 

7.      Every team must have two T-shirts of different colours with numbers. Any type of uniform is allowed, even the national colours or logotypes of organisations.

 

8.      Games: There will be 4 quarters of ten minutes each. There is a two minutes rest between first and second quarter and between third and fourth quarter. There will be a ten minutes halftime. There will be two timeouts per half, per team.

 

If the game ends in a tie, a five minutes overtime will be played with one timeout per team. If the game is tied after the over-time, another five minute “sudden death overtime” will be played. The game winner is the team that makes the first basket during the sudden death overtime. In the final games only normal overtimes will be played.

 

9.      For all other rules FIBA rules will be used.

 

10.  The scoring system allows 2 points for a win and 1 point for a loss.

 

11.  A total time of 100 minutes is reserved for each game, this time includes all breaks in the game. Each team has 15 minutes warm-up time before the game.

 

12.  Each game has to start in five (5) minutes of the scheduled starting time. If the team is not ready to commence play within this time, the team will be pronounced to have lost. The Disciplinary board will be informed by the head referee.

 

13.  Any intentional delay of the game can lead to the team being pronounced the loser of the game. The decision will be made by the head referee. The Disciplinary board will be informed by the head referee.

 

14.  Unsporting conduct can lead to disqualification of a player or a team member from the games. The decision will be made by the Disciplinary board.

 

15.  All disputes will be decided by the Disciplinary board and all decisions of the jury are final. Any protest have to be left at the site of the game to the head referee no later than twenty (20) minutes after the game has ended. Protest handling fee is USD 150.00, payable when filing a protest. The fee is refundable only if the Disciplinary board’s decision is in favor of the protest. All protest will be decided by the Disciplinary board jury before the protesting team’s next game and the team will be informed in writing.
